Today I have gotten confirmation that I got the job!! Excitement upon me, I realize that I start my new job in less that 2.5 weeks. I will be a manager at Harris Teeter in about 2 months time from when I start, even with a week cruise vacation in the middle of my training. I am hyped up to start my new job, earn more money, and be able to save more money for my future. I hope the rest of you can have some good luck as I did, best of luck to all at your jobs and ones that you may be looking for in the future.

  1. I got my dream job in November of 2003. I enrolled in college in 1995, finished my first associates degree in 2001, and after 9 years, I got that all important phone call which lead to my current job. I was in hog’s heaven for many months. Weekends did not feel like weekends anymore. For the past 20 years before this job, when I was at work I worked. From 9 to 5 I was just used to always having something to do. My first day at my current job just happened to coincide with a national holiday on the very next day, so many of my new co-workers had taken off in order to make a 4 day weekend. To my surprise, me, my supervisor, his supervisor, and our big boss just sat around after lunch and talked the rest of the day. Over the past 6 years, I have built up a good reputation at work. Now, many come to me with questions, and I am back to my old ways of being extremely busy at work form the time I get there to the time I go home.

  4. Congratulations! Getting promoted is a huge deal, I am sure you are on cloud nine. I can't wait to get the job of my dreams. It gets hard to go to work everyday when you really know you don't want to be there for the rest of your life. I have to keep telling myself that I am getting one day closer to my dream job, teaching, and that this job is getting me through school so I can get that dream job. I am truely happy for you and I hope it is better than you can imagine.
